Want to start refreshing your home, but don't have a huge budget or much time? Here are the projects that we find have the biggest impact on a space, and can be customized to your needs easily.
Even though we don't look upwards very often, a pretty light fixture can make a difference. As long as the new light is of a similar size and weight, we can switch it out easily and give your space a more personalized feel.
Is there a weird gap around an outlet or pipe? Kid created a piece of art with sharpies? Or maybe the back of the couch has created a bump on the wall? These are fairly quick fixes, and make a huge difference!
We've all been there - you get inspired one day and order some shelves/art/curtain rods. But once they arrive, the spark is gone. Let us help you get them on the wall where they belong!
Just like a light fixture, a faucet is one of those things that we don't think about but makes a big difference. Is yours a little dribble-y, or maybe you just hate it? Let's switch it out!
Our team are Jacks/Jills/Jamies-of-all-trades. They have done most projects, and those they haven't done they are eager to figure out. However, there are a few projects that we do most commonly. Curious what repairs your neighbors are having done? It's likely one of these!
It's so common, it's our name! Recaulking a bathtub/shower is one of the most frequent project requests that we get. And it can go a long way in making your bathroom feel fresh and new again!
The partner to re-caulking. If the grout between the tiles in your shower is starting to look a little rough, it's time to regrout. We can do a spot regrout, meaning we just redo the places that need it most.
A fresh coat of paint can have a space feeling brand new again - even if it's the same color! Home feeling a bit stuffy after winter? Try refreshing the paint, or pick a new color to try something new.
Ceilings have a pesky habit of forming gross spots or holes. Even though we don't look up very often, the knowledge that there's something icky on the ceiling can ruin anyone's day. Let us get that fixed for you!
See something on here you'd like done? Let's get started!

In the ideal setting, silicone caulk should last between 8 and 10 years! Of course, historic homes aren't the ideal setting, but it still should not be failing quickly. If you know for certain that your bathtub or shower was re-caulked one year ago and you're already seeing mold or chunks falling out, this generally means there is moisture behind the caulk. Don't panic! This doesn't automatically mean a water leak. The most common cause we see is that there is grout behind the caulk where it doesn't belong. This is an easy fix, and we're here to help!

Like with the caulk, grout falling out quickly typically indicates moisture in the walls. Again, this is not necessarily a water leak. If the room downstairs is not seeing any water damage, then your shower wall might have been built without waterproofing. This is unfortunately common in bathrooms remodeled around 2008. Reach out - we're happy to help!
If you have lath & plaster walls, and suspect that your ceiling might be also, do not delay in calling someone should the ceiling start to sag. Lath & plaster ceilings have a very dramatic tendency to fall down rather suddenly, coating everything in the room in white dust, and the sagging is one of the first signs. Let us know as soon as you see this so that we can help!

Ensuring that your windows and doors are still sealed properly as the temperatures shift is one of the best ways to prevent any mold growth or water leaks. It can also lower your energy bill. Keep the cold air in during the summer, and the warm air during the winter!
