Position: Apprentice 1*, Field Crew team 2
Type of employment: part-time; at-will employment
Starting pay: $18/hr
Starting date: 1/26/2026
Main objective: establish a knowledge base
Job description:
As a Field Crew member, you will be out on jobs, participating in projects to the extent of your ability and learning from others on the site. You will not be asked to do things above your knowledge level without instruction and supervision. We believe in practical learning, but will never set unachievable expectations.
As part of your training, there will be 'skill bootcamps' hosted by our lead contractor, Lindsay. She or another trainer will teach you the process of a certain skill, and then provide a safe space for you to practice the skill. They will provide help and feedback until you are confident in your ability.
There are also online modules, created by our team, to help you develop a basic understanding of systems, tools, and certain skills. You will be expected to go through all the modules before progressing to the next level of apprentice.
