She Can Caulk It is a fast-growing home repairs company, based in Brooklyn, NY. We do everything from caulking a bathtub to fully renovating a kitchen and more. Our team is made up of women and LGBTQ+ folks from all different backgrounds who wanted to learn these skills, and found their place in our training program. While we are a fairly new company, our reputation has pushed us to grow quickly, and we are looking to add to our team.
The administrative assistant position will join our Chief of Staff/Director of Marketing in managing the essential background work that keeps SCCI running smoothly. This encompasses customer experience, team coordination, marketing, and other administrative work. Our ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, no matter how simple, and is eager to learn. More details on what the position entails can be found below.

Position Information:
Position: Administrative Assistant
Location: remote, work from home
Type of employment: at-will employment; part-time (10 - 15 hours per week, to start)
Starting pay: $18/hr
Target start date: 8/3/2026
Responsibilities:
Answer customer emails and texts to give updates from team, answer questions, schedule projects
Ensure all necessary information is present in shifts published to calendar, and adjust shifts as instructed
Update project trackers for admin steps (reaching out, scheduling, paperwork, etc.)
Assist in organization and dissemination of information
Draft emails, memos, or reports occasionally
Assist with basic bookkeeping, such as inputting data for invoices
Publish pre-made social media posts
Other administrative tasks, as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Professional communication skills
High level of organizational skills
Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office, Google Suite)
Calendar and schedule management skills
Knowledge of office procedures and equipment
Familiarity with customer service principles
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience in an office setting
Experience or interest in marketing

As a member of the team, you can expect to see the impact your skills have on the projects we have, and watch how you improve. You will never be bored - no two days are the same! We take on projects varying from the simplest mounting job to a full room renovation and more. You’ll work closely with our lead contractor and owner of the company, Lindsay, as you figure out the ins and outs of SCCI and develop the skills you need to tackle any project. Once you’re ready, there’s really nothing you can’t do!
She Can Caulk It is looking to bring on a new team member who brings a level of industry experience. The ideal candidate would have the skills necessary for most standard projects, and have worked in the home improvement industry for at least one year in some capacity. We are looking for someone who takes initiative in their work and in learning more, and who has problem-solving abilities. Our schedule is fairly flexible, but we’re looking for someone who has availability during our typical business hours (10am - 5pm) at least 4 days per week.

Title: Journey 1, Field Crew team 2
Type of employment: part-time, full-time; at-will employment
Starting pay: $21/hr*
Target Start Date: April 15, 2026
Responsibilities:
Complete standard projects independently and to standard.
Adhere to company systems without reminders.
Complete an assigned task within the time limit.
Know how to clean and care for the tools and equipment you are using.
Be aware of the standard procedure for projects and be able to identify potential abnormalities.
Interact professionally with team members, managers, and customers.
Essential duties:
Go on jobs, either solo or with the team, and complete the assigned tasks.
Ensure the tools and equipment are being used properly and are returned to their proper places.
Assist in maintaining the storage spaces.
Communicate changes in personal schedule, job schedule, or anything else with leadership.
Other duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
1+ years working in home repairs or home improvement
Skills and experience in:
Painting a room
Mounting (shelves, art, televisions, etc.)
Drywall, spackle and patching (non-structural)
Caulking
Grout touch-ups
Door hardware repairs (hinges, locks, handles)
Knowledge of common tools, products, and equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
Carpentry experience
Basic plumbing or electrical experience
Driver’s license
Interest in leadership role and/or training
*Every new hire joins as an apprentice 1 at $18/hr, regardless of previous experience. This is to ensure a baseline level of knowledge amongst She Can Caulk It employees, and serves as a trial period. After the apprentice 1 has demonstrated understanding of company processes, they will be evaluated for placement in the higher levels dependent upon skills, grasp of company policies & systems, and integration with the team.

Main objective: establish a knowledge base
Job description:
As a Field Crew member, you will be out on jobs, participating in projects to the extent of your ability and learning from others on the site. At the apprentice 1 level, you will be following your trainer and shadowing them on any project they are working. You may be asked to help clean the work space, hand tools or materials to your trainer, help lift or hold things up, take photos, or generally be another set of hands on the site. You will not be asked to do things above your knowledge level without instruction and supervision. We believe in practical learning, but will never set unachievable expectations.
As part of your training, there will be 'skill bootcamps' hosted by our lead contractor, Lindsay. She or another trainer will teach you the process of a certain skill, and then provide a safe space for you to practice the skill. They will provide help and feedback until you are confident in your ability.
There are also online modules, created by our team, to help you develop a basic understanding of systems, tools, and certain skills. You will be expected to go through all the modules before progressing to the next level of apprentice.
Responsibilities:
Learn the company systems and help to maintain them
Shadow trainer
Observe
Clean up work space
Ask questions
Learn to properly clean tools, and eventually take the lead
Learn names of tools, processes, and other vocab
“Hand me things”
Take photos and upload to photo drop
